Chicory
(1)
Chicory growing at Frampton Marsh RSPB Reserve, Lincolnshire. It's one
of those plants which is hard to miss - up to around 1.5 metres tall,
with prominent blue flowers. (For a closer look, see the next picture.)
As an RSPB reserve, Frampton Marsh is, of course, primarily a place for
viewing the birds which are attracted to its wetland, saltmarsh and
grassland habitats. However, there is plenty more of interest, such as
flowers, insects, and a colony of water voles.
