Castle Hill (1)
Castle Hill overlooks the town of Huddersfield and has evidence of human settlement going back thousands of years, from an Iron Age hill fort to a 12th century castle. It's now a place for recreation and a designated Local Nature Reserve, though in the 19th century it was also a popular venue for political and religious meetings.
On the summit stands the Victoria Tower, but even from the base of the tower there are views in all directions over Huddersfield and the surrounding area, as the following pictures show.
